SIMPSON were pleased to welcome Lecturers and Students from the University of Derby and Students from the Programme Science without Borders from Brazil on a site visit around York Art Gallery on the 5 November.

The day allowed 70 Students who are currently in their first year of studying Civil Engineering and Construction Management, an insight into the day to day life of a Project Manager and the complexity of the Job we are currently undertaking at the Art Gallery. SIMPSON organised a guided tour around the site followed by a presentation on the challenges that SIMPSON have had to overcome on the project to get to the stage we are at the moment. SIMPSON also provided careers advice to the students about where they can go for help and advice to further their career not only after they have completed their degree but during their course.
