SIMPSON carried out on a partnering basis the construction of five town houses and fifteen flats for the York Housing Group for affordable housing in York.
The Client’s original scheme was developed during pre-commencement phase and through our supply chain partners we were also able to propose a timber frame solution to the project.
By incorporating the timber frame we were able to engineer the structure considerably whilst maintaining the original design intent. SIMPSON throughout the project were able to bring considerable value and savings to the project.

Due to SIMPSON introducing considerable cost savings, it allowed the Client to be able to invest into the project, most notably by the introduction of a modern heat recovery system.
This site was monitored under the Considerate Contractors Scheme and received a certificate for scoring highly in eight of the scheme’s code of considerate practice.
