Marks & Spencer Bradford

SIMPSON are excited to see their latest development for M&S, open its doors at Westfield Bradford Broadway in a return to its native soil of Yorkshire.
Marks & Spencer, which first established in Leeds’ Kirkgate market in 1884, awarded SIMPSON the 40,000 sqft retail fit out at the long awaited Westfield Broadway development, and which now showcases a 9,000 sqft food hall and a 160-cover café, along with their fashion and homeware offerings.
The project took place over four floors with full retail shell fit out including full mechanical, electrical and sprinklers, the installation of vertical movement areas, stone façade, suspended ceilings with recessed lighting, roof plant, and polished plasterwork.
The project was logistically challenging due to the sheer volume of retail works being undertaken at the centre, and SIMPSON had to implement and coordinate a strict booking in system for all deliveries and trades.
The store opened to rave reviews on 5 November 2015, and is the first in the UK to launch “Boutique”, the M&S new concept layout which ensures a calm, relaxing, spacious and contemporary environment for shoppers.
