SIMPSON has now started work on site at the former Terry’s Confectionary site in York for Springfield Healthcare, with Archial Norr Architects and Turner & Townsend Project Managers.

The project will see the factory’s structure restored and 82 new care suites and eight luxury apartments created over two floors, providing aspirational quality accommodation.  The new floor will see the creation of a new roof terrace for the residents to enjoy stunning views across York.

The centrepiece for the development will be the restored glass atrium, which will feature an internal market square, with cafes, street lighting, outdoor dining, shops, and other facilities.
