Earlier this week, our onsite team at Clifford’s Tower were delighted to support English Heritage on a conservation in action tour for stakeholders from the York Castle Gateway Group. The group were given a special-access tour of the research work being undertaken to examine the conservation needs of the tower’s historic fabric.

The tour allowed English Heritage to talk to the guests about the conservation challenges faced at the site, along with an insight into how English Heritage’s future proposals for Clifford’s Tower might contribute to protecting the fabric of the tower for the future, improving the visitor experience to the historic tower.
